Cover Story

S M Sehgal Foundation completed twenty-three years of its rural development journey. June 22, 1999, was the day that S M Sehgal Foundation was registered in India with the vision of Dr. Suri Sehgal and Edda Sehgal to give back to the rural communities. Because of their unrelenting spirit of philanthropy and leadership, we have expanded our presence from four villages in one district in one state to reach 1,689 villages across 52 districts in 11 states, and growing. Together with communities, our partners and supporters, we strengthen community-led development initiatives to achieve positive social, economic, and environmental change across rural India.

We wish for this journey to continue to create greater impact for many more years to come. The short video below takes a walk down the memory lane.
